Photostories campaign : Nursing Student at KNUST wins a 1000 litre Water Storage Tank

Jacqueline Adu-Boadi, a final year nursing student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, led her family to cut down water consumption by 45% after Ghana Environmental Community for Sustainability launched a “Photostories Campaign” on World Water Day 2019.

The Adu-Boadi family saved GHS 270 in six months after collecting 9000 litres of water during downpour. Validation of water bills indicated that, average water use reduced from 20 cubic metres to 11 cubic metres in six months. She further explained that, her family capitalized on the rainy season to minimize demand on municipal water supply.

Presentation of the 1000 litre water storage tank was done by the founder of Ghana Environmental Community for Sustainability, Evans Agyei Ntiamoah, on 15th November 2019. This reward is to encourage people to use water wisely to save the environment.

You can also win a tank or other amazing gifts if you reduce shower time; harvest rainwater and fix leakages at home. To participate in the campaign, kindly send you name, location and phone number to our.gheco@gmail.com . Next winner will be announced on World Water Day 2020.
