Did you know that nearly 2 billion people world wide are forced to drink contaminated water every day?

The United Nations has opened entries for photographers around the world to exhibit talents on World Water Day,March 22, 2018.

This is a call for photographers to raise awareness on a basic requirement for health and for life. The lack of access to safe drinking water is one of the most important global challenges of the 21st century.

On World Water Day, March 22, 2018, twelve photographers will be selected by famous judges and exhibited in the UN headquarters in NYC and on 1x.com to 1 million monthly unique visitors.


Photo Criteria

To document today’s issues, the UN is asking photographers from around the world to submit photos depicting what lack of safe drinking water means knowing the water cycle, in its entirety, includes all uses and users.

Water Integrity Network Photography Competition 2018: Win a USD1000 Voucher for Photo Equipment


THEME: WHERE AND HOW DOES MONEY FLOW IN THE WATER SECTOR?


The Water Integrity Network has also opened entries for photographers to capture insightful moments on the subject to mark World Water Day.


This contest has two categories:

Best Overall Photo: awards will be given for 1st place and two runners up.


Best Smartphone Photo:one award will be given for this category.


This competition tackles the discrepancies in water management project delivery. The effective water resource management using funds generated by global activists and how communities suffer the repercussions if handled poorly.


To Join This Contest Simply send up to TWO original, hi-resolution images related to the theme to winphotocomp[@]win-s.org via a large file sharing service (for example WeTransfer, TransferNow, Google Drive)
